My friend Kenny

It was 2000 when our hunting group met Ken for the first time. We were out chasing geese and stopped in to ask permission but as most of you know Kenny wanted to talk! We assured him that we would come back after the hunt and if I remember right he had us change our plans and went after some Cranes or Turkeys as Ken liked to call them out in back of his farm. A lot of the group went back and the friendship started. That next summer our senior group member, Lenny, called Ken up and inquired if he knew of a place that we could stay instead of the Salty Surf in Waltrous. He immediately told Lenny that we could stay with him. I remember Lenny told him to go sit in front of the Air Conditioner for an hour and gain some senses! Ken called back and insisted that we stay with him. Who does that??? Ken Teneycke does!!! In 12 years we continued our annual trip to see Ken and visit some of the most friendly people in the world. The Hunting brought us there but the people like Kenny kept us coming back. He will be missed by many! One very fond memory of our many years there was one Sunday afternoon Ken asked us to go for a ride. We all jumped in his truck and away we went to his south property. After a short walk we came to a big rock with a trench around it, and he asked us what we thought it was. We hadn't a clue and was surprised when he told us it was a buffalo rub. We walked aprox. 100 yards and he showed us 4 or 5 Indian Teepee rings! It's stuff like that we will miss Ken so much. He always had time for everyone! Thanks for being my friend Kenny! Rest in peace, Tony Toye Wisconsin
