Obituary for Pat Murray

MURRAY: Pat B.
April 11, 1935 - September 12, 2022

Patricia Beatrice Murray passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022 at Long Lake Valley Integrated
Facility, (Imperial, SK) at the age of 87. Pat was born in Imperial, SK on April 11, 1935 to (late)
Ross & Beatrice Kelly. She was the youngest of 7 children. The family moved to Zelma, SK when she was a young child. Pat attended Zelma School until the end of Grade 9. She then took the train to Saskatoon, and stayed in a boarding house with other students so she could attend high school.

Pat was married to (late) Milton Detwiller on April 11, 1953, they resided in the town of Imperial. They were
blessed with 5 Children, Joann (Greg) Tittemore, Bill (Heather) Detwiller, Linda Detwiller, Gary (Edythe)
Detwiller, Marilyn (George) McAllister. Milton passed May 1988. Pat was married to (late) Bruce Murray on December 23, 1989. They resided in Imperial & later Saskatoon. Bruce predeceased her November 2015.
Pat was very proud of her 5 Children, 14 Grandchildren, & 18 Great Grandchildren & really loved their visits.

Pat was a very hard working housewife and mother. She loved her garden and was a fantastic cook.
During her earlier years Pat was very active in the community. She helped with 4H, the United Church, and
many other volunteer positions. She really enjoyed curling, golfing, time at Etter’s Beach and was always
interested in any card game. She always gave her best effort and was known to be competitive in anything &
everything that she did. Pat spent many winters in Hawaii, Texas, Arizona and BC in her retirement. She really enjoyed these years, walking, doing water aerobics, golfing, shopping, playing cards, pool and shuffle board daily. She loved having an active, and full schedule.

Pat was predeceased by her Parents, Her Husband Milton Detwiller, Husband Bruce Murray, 5 siblings: George
(Ruth) Kelly, Art Kelly, Joyce (Dudd) Chambers, Phyllis (Bert) Roney, & Wynn (Bob) MacDonald, (Mac) Duff, as
well as her Daughter Linda Detwiller, Grandchildren Valerie Detwiller & Jacqueline McAllister as well as
Bruce’s Son Donald Murray. Pat is survived by her Sister, Alice Duff, Sister-In-Law Audrey Kelly, Bruce’s Daughter Twyla (Son Mark & Family) 4 Children & Spouses as well as her beloved Grandchildren: Phil (Edith) Sanders, Brian (Kirsten) Tittemore, Laura Tittemore (Warren), Sarah Tittemore, Jason (Rene) Detwiller, Sheena Detwiller (Cody), Marci Detwiller (Chris), Daphne (Jordan) Wasyliw, Dawson (Kara) Detwiller, Brayden Detwiller, Mathew (Mikaela) McAllister, Derrick (Laken) McAllister and her Great Grandchildren: Anna, Aiden, Leah, Inga, Erik & Oden, Abigail & Hailey, Myka, Annika, Hailey, Brynn, Raisa, Stark, Liam, Owen, & Bea, Arden. As well as many Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Pat on October 7, 2022 @ 2:00pm in Imperial Community Centre, followed by a lunch & reminiscing with family & friends.
