FEDERSPIEL: Sandra
June 1, 1946 – September 9, 2022
Sandra Federspiel (nee Code) was born June 1, 1946 in Imperial, SK to her parents George and Anne Code. She lived and attended school in Imperial and worked at the Imperial Hospital as a cook & housekeeper. In 1965 she married Brian and welcomed a son, Tracy, in 1966 and a daughter Tammy in 1969.
In October 1969 she & Brian moved their family to Calgary. She worked various jobs from cabinet builder to a contracts administrator and earned her business management certificate at University of Calgary. In 1999 she and Brian moved back to Saskatchewan and settled in Simpson where she worked at Colleen’s Cafe as well as at Spectrum Auto Body and finally retired in 2011. Sandra’s fondest memories were her wedding day, the birth of her children and her grandson Travis. She loved traveling to Disneyland with her family, Las Vegas, Nashville and Memphis. Sandra was a member of the Simpson UCW, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, bowling, playing cards, scrabble, bingo and especially enjoyed reading a really good book. She loved Country Music and spending time with family and friends.
Sandra will be remembered for her laughter, kindness, and generous heart. She was loved by all that had the privilege of meeting her and will be deeply missed.
Sandra will be remembered by her loving family; son Tracy (Lorna); daughter Tammy (Omar); grandson Travis; sisters Marie, Vi; brothers Ken, Mervin, and David; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Brian; brothers Bob, Don, Ray; and sister Rita.
