January 23, 1928 – June 6, 2022
James Alan McDade passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK on June 6, 2022. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary McDade, brother Robert E. McDade and two sisters Helen and Margaret Vanthuyne.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lois, son Alan (Yvonne), daughters Joann (Jim) and Wanda (Lyle), 11 grandchildren Shelly (Dustin), Jeff (Fern), Scott (Nicole), Derek (Vicki), Jennifer (Sean), Jonathan, Joel (Brandy), Michael, Jeremy, Christopher and Joshua (Michelle), 18 great-grandchildren Kendall (Jarrett), Fraser, Dahlton (Madyson), Emma (Brennan), Summer, Taylor, Charlie, Jayden, McKenna, Emma, Chloe, Nolan, Jamison, Nate, William, Caleb, Berkley, Wren and four great-great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Zoe, Mia and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother Glen McDade, sister Doreen Gross and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was born January 23, 1928 on the farmstead northwest of Imperial where he was raised as a farmer and his love of the land continued for the rest of his life. A second love was carpentry that resulted in a house, cabin, and many sheds and outbuildings on the homesite.
A Graveside Service was held in the Imperial Cemetery, Imperial, SK on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Aline Guillas.
