She always had a full coop of chickens and sold eggs to several people in the community. In Mom's younger years she also loved to sew. She had a good sense of humour and could effortlessly be made to smile with a little bit of teasing. Mary took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In 1981 Mom married Stan Hodgins of Kyle, SK. They lived at the Nokomis community pasture until retirement. They then purchased a house in town and a farm where they would drive daily to take care of cows and horses.
In the fall of 2018 Mom and Stan sold the cows, the following fall of 2019 they sold the farm. They spent their spare time camping and travelling to rodeos and races. They made many friends over the years.
