Obituary for Marvin George Gullacher
GULLACHER, MARVIN GEORGE
Feb. 25, 1934 - April 3, 2022
Marvin Gullacher, aged 88 years of Imperial, Sask. passed away peacefully at St. Pauls Hospital, Saskatoon, on Sunday April 3, 2022 with all his children by his side. Dad fought to stay with us but the fight was just too hard.
Marvin was born on February 25, 1934 on the family homestead east of Imperial. On July 1, 1961 he married the love of his life Marlene Forster. Marvin and Marlene resided in Imperial for many years where they raised their five children. In 1992 they moved to Salmon Arm, B.C. and later to Stettler, Alberta. Their final move in 2003 brought them back home to Imperial where they enjoyed the most important thing in their life, time with their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many life long friends.
Marvin farmed for many years until he sold the family farm and moved to Salmon Arm. Marvin kept very busy and wore many hats throughout his wonderful life. Marvin was always active in the community and most recently with the Imperial & District Service Club.
Marvin is survived by his loving family, daughters Marva (David) Bryant, Lynn (Oscar Navarro) Gullacher, Karyn (Jay Dufour) Gullacher, Joann (Kevin) Wolff; son David (Sandra) Gullacher; Grandchildren, Justin, Nadine (Riley), Valerie (Ryan), Hannah, Bethany, Amanda (Marc), Glendon, Adam, Jesse, Liam, Jaden, Mikayla, Zachary, Jaxen, Karley, Alissa (Shale), David (Sara), Anna and Kristina. Great grandchildren to whom he was known as Papa G; Reid, Anika, Jaxon, Ryan, Kara, Olivia, Tommy and Sloane, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin is predeceased by his loving wife Marlene in 2015, his parents Harvey and Ann Gullacher, Sister and Brother in law Shirley and Glen Toovey; father and mother in law George and Luella Forster; nephew Chris Vance, step granddaughter Presli Dufour.
