It was there in Regina where she met her soon to be husband Kalmon Benko and the couple was wed on October 13, 1951. The couple decided to start their family shortly after in 1952 with their first son Bernard (Bernie). After relocating to Manitou beach for Kal’s work the family grew to include Gabriel (Gabe) in 1958 followed by Vernon (Vern) in 1961. Yvonne was always very involved in the church and enjoyed being part of the Catholic women’s league, as well she held a variety of positions within the community including secretary treasurer. Yvonne is survived by her 3 sons Bernard (Linda), Gabriel and Vernon.
