Obituary for Anastasia Rose "Anne" Bauml (Musty)

BAUML: Anastasia Rose (Anne) Bauml (nee Musty), aged 94 years of Watrous, SK passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Marianne at Manitou Beach, SK on Tuesday January 5th, 2021.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Herb, parents Laura and Henry Musty and her siblings Joseph, Nickolas, Anthony, Dominic and Christine. Anne is survived by her six children: Kathy (Alan), Marlin (Karen), Marianne (Fraser), James (Bonnie), Brad (Jacky), Susan; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Anne grew up on the family farm in Lake Lenore, SK. Anne and Herb were married in 1957, owned and operated the general store in Marysburg, SK until 1967 when they moved to Watrous SK and opened Herb’s IGA. The entire family (including her ‘other’ son Rick Strueby) worked at the store where she taught us the value of hard work, kindness, generosity and how to ‘MacGyver’ almost anything.
Anne enjoyed many things including gardening, knitting, watching baseball (especially her grandchildren, the Marysburg Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays), coffee with the ‘3 Musketeers’ and above all, her family. The family home was always open to everyone and we often came home to Christmas to meet new members of the ‘extended’ family.
Tremendous and heartfelt thanks go to Shantelle and the caregivers at the Montgomery Care Home, the caregivers at Columbian Manor and especially to Marianne and Fraser who provided Mom with a loving and peaceful home during her transition from this life to the next.
A family Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 12th, 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to participate in the service are welcomed to join the ceremony via facebook live broadcast on the Fotheringham - McDougall facebook page. Interment will take place in Marysburg Cemetery at a later date.
