Robert Knox McLaren was born September 3, 1925 at Drake, Saskatchewan and passed away at Central Parkland Lodge in Lanigan, Saskatchewan October 18, 2020 at the age of 95.

He was very active in sports all his life including playing, coaching, and mentoring in baseball, hockey, and curling. He was also very dedicated to the community in many aspects. He was a very respected and loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Ida, I'm so sorry for your loss - but also glad that Bob is at peace (he and Dad are probably playing catch). Memories of you and Bob go back to my earliest remembrances. The many family visits in what seemed a very long drive to Drake. Ball games and more ball games. Bob's almost flat glove that seemed to catch just about any ball that came at it. His ready smile and wit. He will be greatly missed. Hugs to you, Denise, Dawn and Duane. Kids, he was one of the good ones. June (Hughes) Reid

Bob and Ida welcomed the Virginia Boys in 2010 to chase waterfowl on their farms. We have felt blessed to have met them. They enhanced our visits to Saskatchewan with their pleasant hospitality and good nature. Bob shared many stories of his life on the Prairie and we will treasure our memories with him. Our sincere condolences to the family.
