Obituary for Eugene Francis "Geno" Wolff

Eugene Francis Wolff passed away peacefully at the Regina General
Hospital with family by his side on May 28, 2019 at the age of 79. He
was born at Simpson SK on September 25, 1939 to Frank and Mary
(Stratton) Wolff of Liberty SK. He married Carolyn Castell on September
30, 1961 in Liberty where they lived and raised their family. He was
predeceased by his father and mother Frank and Mary Wolff and a baby
sister. Eugene is survived by his wife Carolyn; sons Kevin and Joann
Wolff, Curtis and (Linda Curtis); granddaughters Karley and Alissa Wolff;
grandson, Jordan Wolff; sister Roberta (Carmen) Abrey; nieces April and Kelly
Abrey.

Eugene (Geno) was born with dirt in his veins and grew up on
the family farm between Liberty and Stalwart. He worked the land his
entire life successfully seeding and harvesting 59 crops. He loved to
curl in his younger years and hunt and fish when he could. His other
passion in life was to play the saxophone, which he did for many years
with the Liberty Orchestra. He spent many an hour with several different
bandmembers over the years and enjoyed all the time with them.
He was also a good community supporter, including the Liberty Co-op
board and the Liberty Service Club. He spent lots of time with family
and friends, liked to travel and loved life in general. Anyone who spent
time with Geno always came out with a smile. He will be missed by all who
knew him. May there be a bit of Geno in all of us.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Pius X RC Church in Imperial at on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Wolfton Cemetery.
