Climb up to the Sunshine,
Leave the valleys far below.
There’s a quiet mountain
Where you can always go.

In times of pain or trouble
Where it’s hard to bare the load,
That’s the time for traveling
Up that mountain road

High above the storm clouds
Where the sunshine can break through,
There’s a place of peaceful beauty
And a wider mountain view.

Eulogy - by Brenda
The first thing I would like to say is.....Grace was the best Mother-in-law any girl could ever ask for. She was always excited when her and I would work together in the kitchen. There was always a new recipe we had to try out. I knew when fall came we would certainly be making something OR everything with zucchini in it. Zucchini pie, zucchini muffins, zucchini cookies, well you get my drift. Well she certainly liked to cook and we were all reminded of that by her asking us every half hour if we were hungry. 'Let me make you a bun.' 'You need to eat.' Well if you take a close look at most of us, we really DIDN'T need to eat. Grace was always there If you needed a baby sitter. She never said no to having her children then grandchildren then great grandchildren come to visit her. She always had to be busy whether it was working at the hospital, helping Verdi at the school or working in their garden and yard. Her and Verdi loved to play cards and loved being a part of the seniors centre. She loved playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. And you know...she hardly ever won a game letting the younger ones win! I took over making the holiday meals after Reg and I got married. I didn't mind that at all because she always made me sit down while she cleaned up the mess! We are going to miss not having her around the table for those special meals. We all used to like her story about being asked to fill in at the hospital for 6 weeks, and then ended up staying for 18 years. It was hard on her when the onset of Alzheimer's hit. She got frustrated easily and told the same stories over and over. But we still listened and had a positive reply back to her each and every time! I know Our boys Arron and Corry will be embarrassed, but she used to call them her 'GOOD LITTLE MANNIES'...even as teenagers . There is so much more I could say about Grace. She was a great loving and giving person. I guess I will close by saying : your family loves you very much and will miss you greatly! Rest in peace Grammy your work here on earth is done.
