Condolence: It is with deep sadness that I heard of the unexpected death of my brother, Merle. He was not only my brother, but from a very young age, Merle became my surrogate father. He was the one who held my first two-wheel bike (with the fat tires) as I learned to ride it. He was the one who wrote letters to my mother warning her not to let me eat so much candy because it would rot my teeth. He was the one who loved to clean things out, including – one year – my tap dancing shoes. He was the one I leaned on when my mother passed away. We will all miss him, and forever love him for the great man he was. Rest in peace, my darling brother.
