GULLACHER: Marlene Joyce
January 1, 1943 – August 28, 2015
Marlene Joyce Gullacher, aged 72 years, of Imperial, SK passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Watrous and District Health Complex after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marlene was born on January 1, 1943 in Imperial, SK. On July 1, 1961 she married the love of her life Marvin and remained in Imperial where they farmed and raised their family until they moved to Salmon Arm, BC and Stettler, Alberta and their final move back home to Imperial to enjoy time with their kids and grandchildren. Marlene was active in the community as a Brownie and 4-H Leader. She was also involved with the figure skating and minor hockey club as well as UCW and was an active member of the Imperial Hospital Auxiliary. For all those that knew Marlene, her true passion was spending time with her family, cuddling her grandbabies, and coffee parties with her many friends.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents George and Luella Forster; Brother Bob Forster; Mother and Father in Law Harvey and Ann Gullacher, Presli Dufour and nephew Chris Vance. Marlene is survived by her loving family, husband Marvin, daughters Marva (David) Bryant; Lynn (Oscar Navarro) Gullacher; Karyn (Jay Dufour) Gullacher; Joann (Kevin) Wolff; Son David (Sandra) Gullacher. Brother Allan (Bonnie) Forster and Sister-in-Law Shirley (Glen) Toovey. Grandchildren - Justin, Nadine and Valerie Coulter; Hannah and Bethany Bryant; Amanda (Marc) Grosjean, Glendon (Heather) McDade, Adam (Morgan)Isherwood, Jesse, Liam and Jaden Navarro; Mikayla and Zachary Krupski, Jaxen Dufour; Karley and Alissa Wolff; David, Anna and Kristina Gullacher. Great Grandchildren to whom she was known as GG - Isabella McDade, Reid and Anika Grosjean, Jaxon Coulter and Olivia Bryant, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Imperial Community Centre, Imperial, Saskatchewan on Friday, September 4th at 3:00 p.m. Interment in Imperial Cemetery.
