Obituary for Michael "Mike" Kozakewich

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MICHAEL KOZAKEWICH
MAY 29th, 1917 - JULY 23rd, 2015



Michael (Mike) Kozakewich was born on May 29th, 1917 on the family farm near Parkerview, Sask.. He was the 2nd of 7 children born to Fred and Dora Kozakewich.


Mike was a Veteran of World War ll. In 1945 he was stationed in London England. It was here he met his future wife Kathleen (Kaye) Mayhead. They were married on June 17th, 1946 in London England.


After the war Mike and Kaye settled on their own farm near Parkerview, Sask. where they raised their 7 children.


They moved off the farm and to Watrous in 1969 where Mike spent many years working odd jobs.


After the passing of his wife in 1976 Mike made his home in several small towns in Sask. until finally in 1985 he moved to Saskatoon where he remained until his passing.


Mike spent the last 7 months at the Sherbrook Veterans Village House #8, where he was given excellent care. Thank you to all the staff there for the wonderful care and compassion given to our dad while in their care.


Mike was predeceased by his wife Kaye, daughters: Janet and Catherine, parents Fred and Dora, brother Nick, sisters: Theresa, Paulette and Mary.


He will be sadly missed and always loved by surviving daughters: Rosemarie (Wayne) and Frances , sons: Bernie, Dennis (Dorthy), and Tom. Also his sisters, Sister Anne Marie and Natalie. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren , nieces, nephews and friends who he loved and adored.
