James Vincent (Vince) Deitner was born March 10, 1920 at Kenaston Sk. Vincent and Ivy (Woiden) were married on October 27, 1948 in Young, and lived on the farm at Kenaston, until 1959. They moved to Watrous and Vince started working for the town for several years. Later he worked for AMC Harrison at the Potash shafts in Allan, Guernsey and Colonsay. In 1969, Vince went to work for Central Canada Potash, for 18 years, then retiring. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and traveling, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. For the last few years he was a resident at the Watrous Manitou Lodge. All who knew him will sadly miss him. Vincent was predeceased by his parents Andrew Joseph Deitner and Annie Deitner (Powell); grandson Damien of Watrous; brothers Wilfred, Leonard and sister Leona. Surved by his brother Sandford, and two sisters Marie Zdunich and Evelyn Koral of Saskatoon. He is also survived by his wife Ivy; sons James (Liette) of Calgary, Calvin (Bonnie) of Edson, Myles (Dynalda) of Watrous, daughter Sharon Deitner of Regina; grandchildren James of Grande Prairie, Lyndon (Tara) of Ottawa, Annette (Dean) Quirk of Calgary, Trevor (Sam) of Edson, Shanua (Dan) Fallbeker of Edson, Carley (Dan) Stone of Edson, Rechelle (Greg) Beland, of Cutknike, Graeme (Susan) and Spencer of Regina; twenty-one great-grandchildren, Larkin and Avalon, Ava and Lauren, Mary, Thomas, Natash, Penelope, Anna, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Keanna, Danielle, Wyatt, Keilah, Seth, Lachlan, Morrigan, Lena,Yseult, and Sioban.
