Obituary for
Lorne Robert Lymburner
Lorne Robert Lymburner passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Royal University Hospital after a six-year battle with an autoimmune disease. Lorne passed away with Sharlene, his wife of 47 years and his family by his side. Lorne was 70 years of age.
He is survived by wife Sharlene; son Jeffery; brother Joe (Donna); mother-in-law Alice Shields; brother-in-law Kenny Shields (Elena); grandsons Taylor, Bailey, Caleb and Noah; daughter-in-law Darcey; nieces: Julia; Jodi; and nephews: Mathew and Tyler.
He was predeceased by his son David; parents Lorne and Catherine Lymburner; nephew Sam; and his father-in-law Tom Shields.
Lorne was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada for 37 years and lived in numerous places in Saskatchewan during those years. He enjoyed winters in Mesa, Arizona for 8 wonderful years where he played golf daily. He also curled during his working years in our good old Saskatchewan winter.
We would like to thank the medical team at RUH 6th Floor and specifically Dr. Karen Laframboise, who was our angel. Thank you also to the Lanigan Ambulance Service, Lanigan Homecare workers and medical team who helped immensely in the first 5 years.
